RE: Chick-Fil-A COO
My encompassing statement about the Chick-Fil-A COO “Last I checked, the bible stated “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” not “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself… unless they are homosexual. Then it’s ok to deny them basic human decency”.”
I think what annoys me about the whole thing are the people who are defending the bigotry while doing the following:
1) People saying “Don’t like it, don’t eat there” but don’t follow their own advice: “Don’t like gays getting married? Don’t marry a homosexual”
2) These same people hiding behind their belief in homosexual marriage are the same ones who are up in arms if an Atheist billboard goes up, or someone tries to hinder a publicly christian display on state property.
3) It appears that NONE of them are aware (and don’t care to learn) that Chick-Fil-A donates millions every year to not only “Christian” groups that are actively trying to stop gay marriage, but many of whom that border the line between “Charitable Organization” and “Hate Group”.
4) Many are saying “he’s allowed to his opinion” but want to deny others the same right of criticizing his opinion.
5) Those who seem to think that two consenting adults getting married will somehow affect them personally.
6) Those who seem to believe that “religious” = “Christian”.
7) Those who state that marriage is a “religious” institution (Religious being Christian), but have no response when posed the question of “What about atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, etc who get married? Does that mean they aren’t actually married since they didn’t take an oath before your god to get married?”
